The Viettel Marathon 2024 is a prestigious international sporting event jointly organized by the Vietnam Athletics Federation, the Cambodian Athletics Federation, and the Lao Athletics Federation. Viettel Group, a leading technology corporation, is the co-organizer and sponsor of the race across three countries: Laos (November 3, 2024), Vietnam (December 1, 2024), and Cambodia (December 22, 2024). The Asian Athletics Association oversees and provides technical support for the event, while Vietcontent Company serves as the executing agency. In its inaugural year, the race is expected to attract 25,000 participants from the host countries and around the world.
The marathon aims to create a healthy platform for the community and international friends, promoting the sport of running and supporting the Olympic Day of Running for everyones health. Additionally, the race aims to promote local tourism through its media system and strengthen solidarity and friendship among the three Indochina countries and other countries in the region.
